Well 2020 its been a weird one, between pandemics, lockdowns, work and family I haven’t really managed to get out and do anything adventurous. So I thought I would least get a post up and add a few photos that I have managed to take over the last few months. A quick post lockdown mission to Craigieburn and ChCh Adventure park before the weather cancelled riding for the season. And a couple of shots from earlier in the year at Skyline in Queenstown. So many tables haha!
A little bit of recent work from a shoot with Restore Prehabilition.
Just a couple of photos not being used for anything and a little review video we stitched together one afternoon for a laugh.
And finally got the adventure rig almost sorted – so check back later for some summer content incoming
Its coming into the busy period of my standard day job at the moment so there hasn’t been a huge amount of time for adventures or photo work. Anyway ill be getting out and about a bit more soon to get some new content and finish off some photo jobs that have been on standby.
Here is a gallery of the end of the ski season shots from this year that haven’t found a home.
The last couple of weeks in NZ have been firing on the ski front, check out a gallery of ski shots from the last few weeks missions.
The weather has kind of been in limbo for the last month, with it being too wet to ride and an early snowfall with has melted off a bit. We still managed to get out and do some early ski touring with a few bites from ski sharks destroying a bit of ski bases. A good tune needed.
The rest of our work is still being held up waiting for publications so here is some b-roll shots from some ski tour missions while we still had enough snow. An first warmup of the legs into Broken River and the second from Mt Potts and the old defunct Erewhon Ski Field
This is going to be a short and sweet update as I am running low on energy this week. Here is a little shred-it I filmed for Loose Riders NZ on the Gopro Hero 7. Plus a little gallery of landscape shots from where I’ve been shooting for my next projects.
Keep an eye out for some new content to drop in the next couple of weeks – have been shooting a tonne for some magazine and other projects that I can’t release just yet. And got a few more exciting ones coming up after that!
I have had a bit of a resurgence on taking photos on the last month rather than video work so a few early morning sunrise missions as well as some sunset missions. Some of the photos are being held back for a few articles but check out some that didn’t find a home below:
My buddy Cody and I took advantage of the ANZAC day off and went to check out the mountains for a bit of a ski tour. Which is pretty unseasonable for April in New Zealand and it turned out to be unreal spring/autumn corn. Check some photos from the mission out below!
Can’t believe it is December, this year has been absolutely hectic with heaps of projects on the go. Including starting up a video project with Dylan McNiece one of NZs premiere Triathletes. Couple of shots below from a little photoshoot we did with him.
So keep an eye out for that content to drop.
Farmlands ERA Awards
Another project we completed was the Farmlands ERA awards video which they used for an environmental awards campaign. Not our usual affair but was a very interesting project. Check it out below
Try selecting and removing or editing the caption, now you don’t have to be careful about selecting the image or other text by mistake and ruining the presentation.
We have invested in some new kit as well with the Wiral Cam Cable cam which has opened up some pretty cool filming options especially paired with the new GoPro. We out to try and get through the learning curve and created a little vid for Instagram below for Loose Riders NZ
And here are a few photos from over the last few months that haven’t found a home.
As usual it has been a while since I have posted but the last few months have been hectic including the day job and trying to fit in as many adventures as I can around it while even trying to retain some family life as well.. Too many hobbies and not enough time.
Ski Season is almost over and slowly transitioning back into bikes but before that happened we tried to tick off a few skiing missions we had had planned for a while. One was to head up Mt Sibbald in behind Tekapo in NZ.
We four wheel drove up the Macauley valley and walked to our campsite then toured up and got some nice shaded wind-blown powder!
Amazing mission in some amazing country – and there are a couple more images below from some other miscellaneous missions around the Canterbury Club fields and Queenstown for your viewing pleasure
And finally just a little video testing out the GoPro Hero 7 – the hyper smooth function is amazing No more gimbal needed which cuts down on the gear I need to carry. Check out the video below , riding the new tracks at the Christchurch Adventure park.
